PRECIPITATOR CLEANING

PBI uses small explosive charges strategically placed to remove ash from plates, wires and positrodes in electrostatic precipitators. This process can be done when the precipitator is either energized or not.

Customers who may at times have had problems with their opacity levels have found it most beneficial to blast while the units are energized. One of the major benefits of this, is the fact that they do not have to take the unit out of service. Blasting while the ESP is still operating can save significant amounts of money.
